come bake with us.
we are a small-batch sourdough bakery in South Orange County, supplying some of the area's favorite coffee shops. Everything is made by hand, in small bathces, with a lot of care — and as we grow, I'm looking for one reliable, detail-loving person to join me a few mornings a week and help keep production running smoothly.
No bakery background required. If you're dependable, careful with your hands, and like the rhythm of making something real, I can teach you the rest.
what'd you do
- Help boil and bake the morning's batch of sourdough bagels
- count, bag, and label orders for our wholesale accounts
- Box and load orders for delivery, and help with local drop-offs to our coffee shops
- mix and prep dough for the next bake day
- Keep the kitchen and equipment clean, organized, and stocked as we go
- **Dependability above all.** These are standing orders for real businesses — showing up on time, every time, matters more than anything else.
- A consistent worker who takes pride in getting the small details right
- **Food industry or baking experience is a plus** — not required, but it helps. I'm happy to train the right person, as long as you've got a real feel for working with your hands and pick things up quickly
- Physically up for it: on your feet, repetitive hand work, some lifting and carrying
- Comfortable in a home-based kitchen — this is a licensed California Cottage Food operation run out of my home
- Trustworthy and easy to have around; you'll be working in my space and closely with me.
- Food Handler's card a plus (or willing to get one — it's quick and inexpensive)
- Able to start early — shifts begin around **5-6 AM** (this is real, early-morning work)
- someone who plans on sticking around for awhile.
- Local to South Orange County. Home kitchen will be relocating to southwest san clemente in august.
